One may ask why chose the for-profit college route rather than a traditional institution of higher learning. Convenience and time? For-profit colleges like University of Phoenix and DeVry University accommodate the busy schedules of working professionals.  As companies increase their education standards, more and more people are going back to school.  According to Colorlines.com, enrollment of African Americans at for-profit institutions increased 264% between 2004 and 2010 versus the 24% increase at four-year public colleges.
