Do you think African American literature when you look at this picture? Maybe not.  Well meet Julia Sun-Joo Lee professor of African-American Literature at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and publisher of The American Slave Narrative and the Victorian Novel, a book praised by the likes of the famous African American scholar and writer Dr. Henry Louis Gates Jr. Lee is the daughter of Korean immigrants who were victims of the 1991 lootings in Los Angeles that followed the Rodney King beatings.
