Queen B, Beyonce’s ‘lil sis, Solange has really come into her own and on her own terms. Known for her since of fashion in her own right, to follow up last year’s special announcement about PUMA North America’s creative partnership with singer, songwriter, producer, model and influencer Solange for the Women’s Lifestyle category, PUMA is was excited to see the release the ‘GIRLS OF BLAZE DISC COLLECTION’ exclusively with Opening Ceremony.
The collection was inspired by the sights and sounds of Brasil, the ‘Girls of Blaze Disc’ Collection is available only through key US-based only specialists like RIME, REVOLVE and AMERICAN RAG, as well as department stores, such as FRED SEGAL and NORDSTROM.
All visual and creative digital content in support of this collection was managed, photographed and styled by Solange Knowles and the collection has not disappointed with the visuals. Collaborating with NYC’s cult favorite, William Okpo, Solange presents the new campaign shot by her boyfriend director, Alan Ferguson.
“I am able to express my love for not only design but the conception of creative ideas, and the execution of them by curating amazingly talented teams. I’ve had so much fun producing special content, ad campaigns, events, and working alongside the awesome PUMA team with some of my favorite emerging artists, photographers, graphic designers, and more to create
visual experiences that really celebrate with both mine and PUMA’s vision and philosophies.
I paired 4 incredible designers (GERLAN, WILLIAM OKPO, HISHAM BAROOCHA ) to interpret the classic (and one of my personal faves) PUMA Disc, each in their own distinctive aesthetic to present “GIRLS OF BLAZE” inspired by the sights and sounds of Brazil. I couldn’t be more excited about the result. The shit is wild, and I hope you will be just
as in love as I am. This has been a dream job, and the ride has just begun!,” says Solange about her work for the Puma collection.
