Pope Benedict XVI

Who would have thought that some of London’s most lavish commercial real estate is really owned by the Vatican?  The building that houses upscale jeweler Bulgari, on New Bond Street In London, along with the headquarters of wealthy investment band Altium Capital on St. James’ Square also on the Pall Mall are all owned by the Catholic Church. With Mussolini as a benefactor the church has built of it’s portfolio over the years since 1929 when the was made to turn over money from his Italian fascist regime.  With inflation the money now has an international value of over 500 million.  With this money the Vatican has set up dummy companies to  acquire the above mentioned commercial real estate as well as  other properties on New Bond Street, blocks of flats in Paris and Switzerland.  If international intrigue is your thing read more at The Guardian …
